Implants are generally used to replace a single tooth or several teeth. They may also be used to anchor a denture to prevent unwanted movement. Sometimes special pictures are required before placing an implant such as a CT scan. Occasionally, preliminary procedures are required before an implant can be placed to help ensure its success. The need for a preliminary procedure can depend on a number of factors, such as how long the tooth the implant is replacing has been missing or is there enough bone to support and maintain the implant? We can discuss these factors at your complimentary consultation with Dr. Greene.

Dental Care for Your Child

Bottom Line- WE LOVE CHILDREN! You can feel assured that your child will receive the most up to date, gentle, compassionate care around.

We perform all facets of pediatric dentistry, but for those rare instances when a child simply needs sedation, our office maintains a close relationship with a pediatric specialist who is highly trained in sedation for children.

Orthodontic care is not all about straight teeth. We are also concerned with well balanced faces and healthy jaw joints.

Orthodontics has moved to a two-phased approach towards care. The first phase is generally done when a child is between the ages of 6 and 9 years old. The second phase is between the ages of 11 and 14 years old when permanent dentition has erupted. The advantage and main goal of this approach is the significantly minimized need to extract any teeth on your child. Sometimes, however, phasing orthodontic care is not appropriate for your child and you can rest assured that in our office we only provide the care that is indicated and necessary-Never More!

We also provide, when appropriate, minor straightening with a retainer or even “limited” orthodontic care. Limited orthodontics is usually either the upper or lower teeth only. A lot of adults who never wore their retainers are having their lower teeth re-straightened.
